David Forbes
David is originally from Brooklyn, New York. He has over 20 years of experience in managing engineering and facility operations. He began his career with Jones Lang Lasalle as an engineer at Goldman Sachs. David was quickly promoted to be the Assistant Chief of Engineering. After achieving a good deal of success with the Goldman Sachs Account, David was asked to join the Deustche Bank Account. He began managing operations at 60 Wall Street and quickly transitioned to managing Deustche Bank’s New York City operations. After a few years, David decided to transition to the university sector and he became a Director at Columbia University. He was responsible for managing the physical plant and engineering operations. After Columbia, David transitioned to managing North America Operations at Bank of America and Vixxo.
Throughout the years David has been able to identify various operational strategies to help drive success such as creating programs around asset management, warranty management, and repair vs. replace review of assets.
David describes himself as a person who has been fortunate to identify the thing that he loves to do early in his career. He has been able to embrace technology and innovation to help drive success and looks forward to bringing this value to Emory University.
In his spare time, David enjoys playing chess and outdoor sports.
