Expungement of Criminal Record

Georgia law (Official Code of Georgia, Annotated, § 35-3-37(d)) provides for the expungement of an individual’s criminal history record information under certain circumstances.

If you were arrested in the past by the Emory Police Department, and you meet the requirements of the law, you may file a request for expungement of your record by completing and submitting this form, in person at Emory Police headquarters in the North Decatur Building, 1784 North Decatur Road, Atlanta.

If you are not sure whether you meet the requirements of the law, you should consult a licensed attorney.  The staff of the Emory Police Department are prohibited from giving legal advice on this or any other matter.
