Department Responsibilities

Our department comprises a group of 20 individuals with as many diverse backgrounds as job descriptions and responsibilities. We are architects and engineers, interior designers, graphic designers, financial specialists, project managers, support staff and interns and we come from the various worlds of design, construction, accounting, art, engineering, athletics and business to form a unique blend of people focused on a shared vision.

The Planning, Design & Construction unit is comprised of project managers and accessibility specialists. We work collaboratively with the Academic Space Planning office and the University Architect's Office to establish the scope and cost of Capital construction, Facility renovations and utility projects and then continue to shepherd these projects through construction, completion and warranty phase. We manage these projects through established capital and renovation processes. In addition to managing Capital and Facility construction, our division assists Campus Services with a variety of administrative responsibilities including construction audits, contracts and the maintenance of the university's design & construction standards.

The Interior Design and Graphic Design units provide design support for projects, independent design services and comprehensive graphic design services for almost every department within the Emory Enterprise. Visit their pages to learn more about their services
