University Landscape Architect

The University Landscape Architect is a professional responsible for the environmental context of the campus, including landscaping and hard scape features.  Working with various student groups, the Campus Services’ Grounds Team, and the PD&C Capital Planners and Project Managers, the University Landscape Architect oversees the plant material lists, the hardscape materials palette, the design and installation of landscaping, the civil design coordination, and the environmental regulatory applications. Often the University Landscape Architect provides the schematic design for small capital exterior projects.

The University Landscape Architect also works with various Emory organizations and departments on developing special projects, the location and installation of exterior public art, and the mapping and survey of Emory properties.

The University Landscape Architect is responsible for the maintenance and calculations of the Emory Tree Canopy Policy and its collaboration with the Emory Tree Bank.
